(More customer reviews)This bag is great for me - unobtrusive and waterproof.It's big enough to carry my cable lock, wallet, keys and maybe a few more small or flat items (think: map).It's about the size of a large passport case.It's great for carrying the things I need close at hand, and keeps the items nice and dry.I leave it on my bike all the time, so I can't speak to the fanny pack feature, but it is easy to install and remove if you need to. The fact that it's small is not a bad thing . . .if it were any bigger, it would get in the way. It's Timbuk 2, so it is well designed and durable.
